First Day of a new school year

With much anticipation & excitement today had finally arrived, the first day of the new school year and the boy starting Year 3.  A restless night of sleep for the boy, but was he was right into following his routine and was ready in record time.


He did allow us to grab a couple of photos before we left for school. 

We arrived almost an hour early, with him being so eager to leave home.  When we got inside the school gates, he was keen to find his friends but in the end sat with me & some of the other mums.  That is always a tell tale sign for me, that he is nervous.


I will admit to having a few nerves myself, I just want my boy to be happy with the teacher & classmates he has.


I did get to see him, just before I left and he was just a little sad as to who is teacher is.  Only time will tell, and I hope that in time he is happy.


As we start on this new adventure, I  am sitting back reflecting and knowing that I have done all that I can.  I am so very proud of the boy that I send off to school everyday.  


All that I can ask from him,  is that he tries as hard as he can and does his best work possible. And he shows kindness & empathy for all who crosses his path.


I love my boy to bits and heres to an awesome year.


To all that have little or big ones starting school for the first time or going into a new year, in the coming days, I hope they have a fantastic first day and rest of the year.
